Fleas be gone!

IMG_1987So Percy (my cat), his hair loss problem hasn’t gotten much better. We changed out his food so we’re thinking it’s not an allergy reaction to his food.  Although it’s difficult to spot fleas because of his dark hair and his unwillingness to stay still we’re thinking he has fleas.  We decided to get him a flea collar and thankfully he doesn’t seem to mind it.  Against his black fur it sticks out quite a bit. I’m glad he seems to be comfortable with it though.  Got Frontline too for the dogs just in case.

  1. Fleas are a pain I will admit. My cat, Smokey gets them regular and she has to be treated once a month as she has an allergic reaction to the female fleas saliva when they bite her. I remember when she first started getting the problems she got really poorly to the point of where her fur was really bad and she never felt like cleaning herself and she kept being sick which was very worrying.

  2. All of my animals (cats and dogs) have fleas. We have tried flea collars and they just don’t seem to be working. My cats don’t mind water so we usually just get a rag and some shampoo and wash them down and let it soak on them for a little while and it kills them. We wash both of my cats and both of my dogs once a week and this has actually been working better than the flea collars. We also bought some flea spot scream from Dollar General and we put it in the biggest area where the fleas build up and that is also helping alot with them.
