I decided to finally actively clear out my personal inbox. It would be so much easier for me to just start a new personal email but I decided that I’m just going to clear out my inbox and start unsubscribing from certain mail listings. I get literally hundreds of emails every day and it’s gotten a bit ridiculous. As I type this I am staring at the 832 unread emails notification icon.
The other day I received a contract job offer and I almost missed it because I had other emails sitting in my inbox waiting to be read. I mean, that’s additional income that I almost didn’t take advantage of because I’ve gotten so used to glazing over my inbox waiting for an interesting subject line to pop up. I like advertisement I do, I like catching awesome deals at stores/shops I regular frequent (online as well as offline) however, there are just some subscriptions I know I don’t need so from here on forward I am actively unsubscribing. Wish me luck.
Do you have a clean inbox? What are some of your organizing tips when it comes to emails?
Whoa, lucky you caught it. Good idea to clean up your inbox. I get a lot in mine, but I also have a few different e-mails, so it works okay for me.

I’m still working on mine. It’s definitely an on-going process! Thank you for the comment!

I don’t get that many e-mails in a day. I try not to subscribe to too many things just because I don’t want to end up with that exact same problem. Right now, I am keeping my eye out for an important e-mail that I don’t want to miss and getting too many junk e-mails is something that I simply can’t afford right now. I also make sure that I am checking my e-mail on a regular basis as well. If I don’t check my e-mail daily, then I make sure I’m checking it every other day at the very least. Like I said, I’m keeping my eye out for certain e-mails that are important to me and it would be a shame if I missed them.

I’m bloody sick of all the spam I get, it’s my own fault though. I was stupid enough to do those surveys for cash. Just glad they all got sent straight to my spam box, but sometimes important stuff is accidentally sen there too. Just look at my inbox lol x3

I get a ton of emails everyday – too many for my liking! I use multiple filters to clean out the junk and I’ve set up certain trigger words that automatically make the emails go to spam. However, if it’s sent from a personal address, it still goes to my inbox to make sure that any mail that is personally sent to me, I get. I’m also on a lot of email lists; that’s no help! I top out at about 1,500 emails daily. I have to turn off my iPhone’s email notifications sometimes because it just annoys me way too much! Do you have any tips to share Sharon? I’d love to hear them! 🙂

For me on Gmail, the best way to separate is them to put them in different categories, an example of this is because I get emails from work, then I put them in a work folder. This is to ensure, that personal and work emails don’t get jumbled together because in the past, I have always accidentally sent the wrong reply to the wrong email. I never to try and subscribe to many things, as that can really clutter your inbox, which is something that you don’t want at all. I’m always making sure, I look at my emails daily, in case something important does come up.
